Cold-pressed organic sour cherry kernel oil is a light plant oil for cosmetic formulations. The golden yellow oil has a delicate natural odour reminiscent of bitter almond and marzipan and is characterised by its high content of oleic and linoleic acid. Its light sensory profile is suitable for formulations that call for a pleasant skin feel and a characteristic scent note.

The sour cherry kernels are a by-product of dried fruit and jam production and are processed into a plant oil by gentle cold pressing. Virgin processing preserves the characteristic golden yellow colour and natural odour of the oil.

In formulation terms, the fatty acid profile is shaped in particular by oleic and linoleic acid, complemented by palmitoleic acid. This profile makes sour cherry kernel oil a versatile formulation component for cosmetic oil phases, oil blends and emulsions. Its characteristic natural odour can be deliberately incorporated into the fragrance concept of a formulation.
