When AOT was founded, the original idea for the name was Allgäu Organic Trading. In 2003 we started out as a trading company in the Allgäu. Today we operate worldwide, supply both organic food and cosmetic raw materials, and are now more of a manufacturer than a pure trader. The name has changed several times, but our values and the understanding that nature provides everything people need have remained. Under the well-known abbreviation ‘AOT’, we finally decided on the company name AOT GmbH – in keeping with the motto: ‘Why make it complicated when it can be simple?’

AOT supplies a broad range of oils, fats, proteins and functional raw materials for food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and food supplements – in both organic and conventional grade. All products are sustainably produced, strictly controlled and suitable for bulk production as well as small pilot batches.

We offer plant-based proteins, oils, fats, waxes and flours for clean-label products, vegan formulations and functional foods. Our raw materials meet the requirements of natural cosmetics: e.g. cold-pressed sweet almond oil, shea butter, beeswax, butters, waxes and antioxidants.

Many raw materials are certified to COSMOS, NATRUE, Kosher or organic standards. Our company is also certified to IFS Food and ISO 22000:2018. More about our certificates.

We use our network and experience to meet individual customer requests. On request, we source raw materials that are not listed and offer services such as oil blends, oil stabilisation or macerates. Contact: sales@aot.de

No, our range is aimed at companies that use raw materials for further processing, filling or product development. Direct purchases by consumers are not possible.

AOT is both. We buy raw materials in large quantities, fill them to customer requirements and produce many products together with our long-standing partners. On site, we process raw materials – filtering, winterising, macerating and much more.

Proteins are made up of up to 20 different amino acids as building blocks, linked by peptide bonds. These amino acids can be divided into essential and semi-essential amino acids. Essential amino acids are vital but cannot be produced by the body itself, so an adequate intake from food is important. This group includes isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan and valine. Semi-essential amino acids such as arginine and histidine, on the other hand, cannot be produced by the body only during certain stages of development, e.g. in newborns.

Every batch is thoroughly tested: chemical analyses, microbiological tests and stability checks ensure consistently high quality. All raw materials are traceable by batch. Our processes comply with IFS Food and ISO 22000:2018 standards. Sustainability and ethical conduct are central to what we do: we work according to our Code of Conduct, use carbon-neutral logistics and recyclable packaging, and give preference to sustainable raw material sources. We offer different grades: cold-pressed oils (mechanically obtained), CO₂-extracted oils and refined oils. Some oils are also available in winterised grade. For questions or sample orders, please contact our sales team. Contact: sales@aot.de

Our oils, fats, waxes and antioxidants are suitable for moisturising care, regenerating & anti-ageing care, massage products, shampoos & conditioners, creams, lotions, scrubs, make-up, sun care and natural baby & sensitive skin care.

Our organic proteins and functional raw materials are suitable for baked goods, plant-based meat and dairy alternatives, spreads, protein bars or extrusion. They are sustainable, certified organic and offer high functionality and nutrient density.

We supply from 1 kg in bottles or tins, as well as 4.5 kg, 9 kg, 23 kg, 190 kg and 920 kg in canisters, buckets, drums or IBCs. Learn more.

Stock items within Germany: 72–96 hours. International delivery times vary depending on the destination country, but orders are always processed as quickly as possible.
